Hybrid Events
We have been developing ways of collaborating, connecting and performing to each other using accessible technology and a mix of online, in-person and hybrid events. These events often have groups of live performers and audiences in different countries showcasing work to each other, as well as an online audience participating in the events.
Live Shows
We are developing a number of shows and performances across different artforms, countries and cultures which would love to tour and bring together for festivals and performances – online and in-person – in the future.
Kathputli: A Tale of Art & Resistance
First-hand stories of courage and persistence told through Indian folk songs, traditional puppetry, musical instruments and explosive Dhol drumming.
“Pamoja” – Contemporary African Dance Show
Featuring performances and stories from women in informal settlements in Nairobi.
Samata Orchestra
A multicultural orchestra bringing together musicians, singers, rappers, dancers, artists and puppeteers from across the collective.
Music Studios
We have been gathering some basic recording equipment across the different groups in Samata Collective, to enable musicians to record within their own communities. We are keen to share and collaborate on recordings, and share skills in audio and music production.
Festivals & Residencies
We would love to organise an international festival or residency, bringing together exciting art and community projects and productions from around the world.
